Join us on Friday, July 4th, for our Independence Day celebration sponsored by Village of Lyons Library! Enjoy the annual parade, live entertainment, family activities, food and craft vendors, and a fireworks display to close out the night. It’s the perfect way to celebrate Independence Day with family and friends! The schedule for the day is below.
PARADE
-1 PM: Parade Start 46th St. & Lawndale Ave.
-East on 46th St. to Joliet Ave.
-North on Joliet Ave. to Lyons Fire Station
PARTY IN VETERANS PARK
-4 PM: Party Begins
-4:30 – 5:15 PM: Barefoot Hawaiian Dancers
-5:30 PM: Kids Watermelon Eating Contest
-6 PM: Vintage Vinyl
-8 PM: Whiskey Friends
FIREWORKS AT DUSK
*Register for the Kids Watermelon Eating Contest or to dance with the Hawaiian dancers at the event at Veterans Park. Participants can register in person at the library, by phone, or by sending a direct message to the Library’s Facebook page with the participant’s name and age, and a parent/guardian email address.
